Pristine Location:
Guadalupe Island lies 220 miles southwest of San Diego and because of its remote location, extreme topography and proliferation of Great White Sharks it has become what many consider to be the best place on the planet to see a white shark in its natural habitat. With water temperatures in the high sixties, regular visibility exceeding 80 feet and flat calm water much of the time, Guadalupe has become a haven for professional and amateur photographers alike. Likewise, divers of all ages and skill levels will marvel at the user-friendly nature of this site.
San Diego Departure and Return:
Islander Charters is pleased to offer the convenience of a San Diego departure and return. Although our home port is just minutes from San Diego International Airport, current Mexican Regulations require departures from the port of Ensenada, Mexico. Therefore, our trips originate in San Diego and travel to Ensenada by chartered motor coach. Our San Diego departure makes your travel arrangements virtually seamless regardless of where your journey originates.
Need help with deciding where to stay and what to do while in San Diego? Not a problem – our company is locally owned and operated and always ready to provide you with helpful information.

All Inclusive Pricing/Limited Passenger Count
Your Great White Shark dive is priced as an all-inclusive five-day trip. From the moment you step on the boat, every detail is attended to by our crew and every part of your vacation is included: four star meals and snacks prepared by a professional chef, beverages including beer and wine, wetsuits, dive gear, shark diving permits and air-conditioned staterooms with full linens. We want your focus to be on the reason for your visit – coming face to face with a Great White Shark. Considering we boast a 100% success rate, that shouldn't be a problem!
Another important consideration in booking with Islander Charters is the fact that we limit the number of passengers carried on every shark adventure. This is lightest passenger load you will find on any Great White Shark diving vessel servicing Guadalupe Island. Although our eighty-eight foot vessel can comfortably accommodate up to thirty passengers, we limit each White Shark dive trip to sixteen. Our sixteen passenger standard creates an ideal atmosphere to see great white sharks, as there is minimal disruption in the water. Viewing apex predators in their natural environment is always best achieved by creating as small of a ‘footprint’ as possible. When it comes to Great White Shark diving Guadalupe Island, less passengers equals more sharks. Plus, the limited passenger count allows us to maintain our exceptional crew to passenger ratio of almost 1:2.
No Dive Certification Necessary:
By utilizing surface-supplied air, even non-certified divers can take part in this amazing experience. We cater to passengers with no dive experience to those with decades… great white shark dives are for everyone! We also offer a submersible cage to certified divers who wish to participate on scuba. The drop-down cage dive is always accompanied by a certified divemaster.
